The Ice Factor program run for Students. The idea is that they learn to play ice hockey and develop not only their game skills but also life and team skills. I have been part of the program now for almost 2 years. On the 6th of November Ice Factor has a Modeling Night, where the Students wear designer clothes and fashion wear. It is held at the Hilton and all proceeds go towards the program. I have seen so many people really encouraged through the program, some may even go on to play Ice Hockey for Australia. If you are interested on coming to the Fundraiser, it is on the 6th of November. Click the photo below for more details.
![]() Here's one from my first surf session with my housing. This wasn't the best one, but just shows what I want to do with it. I am also keen to do some portraits underwater as well. Well I have just found out my new housing is on it's way from the States, so I will be able to do more surfing shots and underwater portraits (which I can't wait to try) It was a massive step as we're about to have another baby and we need a new car, so the missus isn't too happy about it! Ha ha, so if you want some stuff done let me know we can hook something up so we can get a new van...... yes we're growing indeed! ![]() Here's an example from a trial run this week. This is with a smaller camera, so my good camera will be sharp as! I watched a lot of dancing growing up, my sister was really good, because she put the hours into it. So my appreciation of dance photography grew. I only recently have had the equipment to shoot it successfully so I eagerly await opportunities to try it out. Here Karlee dances in almost no light, but I thought the results were better than the dances in bright light! Dimitri On Saturday I went for a walk to the shops, got a coffee and saw my old mate Dimitri in the car park. He told me he was about to take a group of kids surfing for the weekend. I told him I would meet him there and take photos for the work he was doing with Christian Surfers. I took this photo to spread awareness on facebook. Little did I know this would be the last time I would see him in this life, let alone take another photo of him. Dimitri died this weekend of a heart attack after saving a kid from a rip in the surf. Rest in Peace my big beautiful Greek surfing legend friend! | ArchivesNovember 2011 CategoriesAll |
